Ice Cream Social • June 7
You know that spring is officially here when the Dexter Area Chamber of Commerce's Ice Cream Social hits Monument Park. This years event will be Saturday, June 7.  This event is a great favorite with Dexter families. As in past years, the park will be filled with games the kids can play, ice cream, pizza and soda pop, face painting, clowns, petting farm, pony rides, wagon rides through downtown, and craft booths.  Please click here to download an application for our art and craft show.
 
Annual Golf Outing • July 25
The 16th Annual Dexter Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing promises to be the best golf outing yet with magnificent Hole-in-One prizes.  Download a registration form by clicking here.
                                                                                                                              
The following challenges will also return: Lowest Team Score, Highest Team Score, Longest Drive for Ladies & Gentlemen, Closest to the Pin for Ladies & Gentlemen, Drive Between the Lines, On the Green and Put Challenges.  There will be wonderful gifts and prizes for participating and wonderful raffle items.  Reddeman Farms will again be hosting the Golf Outing and providing a delicious luncheon.
                                                                                                                               
Team or individual golf spots ($110 per golfer) are still available as well as the opportunity for your business to  become a Golf Hole Sponsor ($100), a Major Sponsor for $500, a Beverage Cart Sponsor ($250 - limit 2), or a Golf Cart Sponsor ($250 - limit 2). Donated prizes are welcome for door prizes and raffle prizes ($100 or greater value).
                                                                                                                               
It is through the support of Dexter Area Chamber of Commerce members and Dexter Business that we can present this Golf Outing and raise funds to support downtown events and community enhancement projects.  For more information, please contact the Dexter Chamber.
 
Dexter Daze • August 8-9

An annual event that draws visitors from all over the area, Dexter Daze includes numerous craft booths, two days of entertainment for both kids and adults, kiddie rides and tons of food!

A primary draw during Dexter Daze are the Arts & Crafts Booths, located in Monument Park. Booths will open both days at 9:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.  If you are a vendor and would like to apply for a booth space, please download the application and mail it to the Chamber office.  Please call or e-mail the chamber if you have any questions or would like a booth form mailed.

The Dexter Daze Parade is Dexter's largest parade and will be held on Saturday, August 9th beginning at 10:00 a.m. The parade will start at Wylie Middle School and travel down Main Street to the fire station. If you or your organization would like to participate in the parade, please call the Chamber.  Dexter Daze would not be complete without a fully packed Entertainment Schedule, and this year is no exception. Dexter Daze offers entertainment for the whole family. The entertainment schedule for 2008 has not yet been established.

 
Apple Daze • October 4
Fall naturally brings many people to Dexter to enjoy the Huron River, area Metroparks, and our historic Cider Mill.  Monument Park is the focal point for this event where you can buy apples, caramel apples and apple cider, enter an apple pie eating contest, take a hayride or browse the craft booths.
 
Victorian Christmas - December 12 & 13
Come Home for the Holidays and celebrate Dexter's Victorian Christmas Celebration.  Create fond memories with your family December 12th  with the annual Tree Lighting event.  The musical talents of United Methodist and Peace Lutheran Church's will lead us in traditional and favorite carols.  Warm refreshments will be provided.
 
On December 13th, our Christmas Festival will include, Breakfast with Santa, Santa at the Gazebo, Carriage Rides, Moving Carolers Downtown, Hat, Mitten and Boot Drive, Mrs. Claus Luncheon, Ice Sculpture Exhibit, Foggy Bottom Teenage Christmas Rock Concert, Downtown Holiday Light Parade, and Candy Cane 5k Run/Walk - Santa Fun Run downtown Dexter.
 
Luminaria • December 24
The streets of downtown Dexter are aglow with the holiday spirit as homes and business line their yards, walkways and driveways with luminaries.
